If you’ve found your way to this page, it’s fair to assume that you are planning your wedding or civil partnership. Congratulations! What a wonderful time you have ahead of you, full of possibilities.

Planning a wedding is so much fun and as a celebrant I’m here to help you create the ceremony that truly reflects you as a couple. Whether you want some traditional elements or to go completed off piste, I’m here to help you create the ceremony you never thought possible.

Specifically, I can help you with the writing of vows, and add very personal touches to reflect your unique partnership. We can do anything you like. That’s the beauty of using a celebrant.

There’s no right or wrong way to celebrate your love and it’s my job as a celebrant to get to know you both and help create a ceremony that is perfectly you. I’m happy to add religious or spiritual elements if that’s your bag, or not. It’s your call. I’ll go with your flow.

Why choose a celebrant? Well, I officiate at the wedding ceremony but since it isn’t the legal part of the marriage, I have so much more freedom to create a day that is perfectly suited to you. No set script, if you don’t want it. Remember, that you will need to do the “legal “part at the registry office, usually around £50 (this varies from county to county) – most couples choose to do this before the day. Then, you can have the ceremony your way, anywhere. The world is your oyster. Exciting, isn’t it?

What happens now? 

We have a zoom or phone chat first to see if I’m the right person for you. This is a no fee and no obligation call.

My couples tend to be fun, creative, perhaps slightly outside of the box, up for a laugh, and totally in love. If I am a good fit, then we meet again for a coffee, (or wine) and I get to know you both. I’ll give you a questionnaire to complete at your leisure, so I get a sense of your story up till now.

I’ll then reflect on everything we’ve talked about, the stories you’ve given me in the questionnaire, and begin to craft the service. Once I’ve written it, I’ll send you the plan, including the words and the running order to make sure it’s perfect. We tweak it until it is.

On the day, I’ll lead your gorgeous ceremony.

Afterwards you’ll receive a printed copy of the words to treasure.

So now, all you have to do is give me a call and we can get the ball rolling.

Oh yes, we’d better talk about the fee.

Prices start at £525 which covers most ceremonies.

I ask for 1/3 of the fee which is non-refundable to secure your date. This is payable at the first in-person meeting. The second instalment, is due before script release. The final instalment is due eight weeks before the ceremony.

Travel outside of 25 miles of Cardiff will be charged at 50p mileage, and if it’s an
overnighter, if you’re happy to pay for my accommodation, I’m happy to travel further afield. Extras such as sand ceremonies, handfasting will be added at a reasonable extra charge. There will be no hidden charges, guaranteed, so you can cut your cloth as we go along.
